Having performed at hundreds of weddings, the Sunland Strings provides the experience to make your wedding music one of the most memorable highlights of your ceremony. We take a personal interest to ensure that every detail of your wedding music is performed with professionalism and musicianship. Our extensive repertoire includes classical and contemporary music as well as show tunes and movie themes.

How do you perform a typical ceremony?
We usually open with "prelude" music 15 minutes before the ceremony begins for seating your guests. This is followed by your selections for seating the grandparents and/or parents, the processional (officiant, groom, groomsmens, bridesmaids, any flower girls or ring bearers, and the bride); the unity candle, communion, rose or sand ceremony; the bride and groom's exit; and the exiting of your guests.

For what length of time do we need to contract you?
We require a one hour minimum, which is sufficient time for almost all wedding ceremonies. If you ceremony is a full mass or is longer than 20 - 30 minutes, you need to contract us for 1 1/2 hours. We can also provide music for the events following the ceremony such as a receiving line, photos, appetizers, cocktail hour, reception, or dinner.


How soon do we need to contract with The Sunland Strings to be assured of your availability?
You should hire your musicians as soon as you know the location, date, and time frame of your ceremony. March, April, October and November are popular months, so please book early.


How can we obtain help with our music selections?
Once you have contracted with us, you will be given access (a user name and password) to our Wedding Music Selection Guide. Listen to the clips of the most requested music selections all performed by The Sunland Strings Quartet. We have added a “Suggested Use” column to help you make your choices. Most brides find that this is all they need to plan the music for their entire ceremony. Click on and complete the Ceremony Music Form.
